Greenland contraception scandal victims hear Danish PM's emotional apology

Denmark's Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, formally apologized to women in Greenland who were forcibly given contraceptive coils in the 1960s and 70s as part of a birth control program. The apology, following an official inquiry, addressed the trauma and physical complications faced by the victims, with plans for a "reconciliation fund." While many welcomed the apology, some, like victim Aviaq Petersen, are seeking further compensation and a formal reconciliation process to address the injustices committed.
