Germany arrests suspected Hamas members over alleged attack plot
Germany arrests three suspected Hamas members in Berlin for allegedly planning attacks on Israeli and Jewish institutions. The men, including two German citizens and a Lebanese-born individual, were found in possession of an AK 47 assault rifle and pistols, with ammunition reportedly intended for assassination attacks. Prosecutors have charged the suspects with preparing acts of violence endangering the German state and membership of a foreign terrorist organization. Hamas has denied any involvement in the alleged plot, stating the accusations are baseless and meant to undermine support for the Palestinian cause.
