Barcelona's Sagrada Família becomes world's tallest church

Barcelona's Sagrada Família has become the world's tallest church at 162.91 meters, surpassing Germany's Ulm Minster. Designed by Antoni Gaudí and under construction for over a century, the basilica's central Tower of Jesus Christ will reach 172 meters with the completion of the cross. Construction began in 1882, and ongoing funding has come from donations, tourists, and private donors, with the main building expected to be finished next year.
