Animal bones found in search for girl who vanished 55 years ago

A search for Cheryl Grimmer, a British girl who vanished in Australia 55 years ago, led to the discovery of animal bones, dashing hopes for a breakthrough in the case. The volunteer-led effort focused on an "area of interest" using cadaver detection dogs, but police confirmed the bones belonged to an animal. Cheryl disappeared in 1970 at the age of three from Fairy Meadow beach in Wollongong.
