World's oldest boomerang doesn't actually come back
The world's oldest boomerang, made from mammoth tusk, has been discovered in a cave in Poland and is now believed to be 40,000 years old, older than previously estimated. Although the boomerang does not return when thrown, researchers suggest it was likely used for hunting or had cultural and ritualistic significance. This finding sheds new light on the capabilities and behaviors of Homo sapiens living around 42,000 years ago.
