Workplace misconduct and discrimination NDAs to be banned

The UK government is set to ban the use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in cases of workplace misconduct and discrimination, following high-profile instances of abuse of power. An amendment to the Employment Rights Bill will void confidentiality agreements that aim to silence victims of harassment or discrimination. This move comes after cases involving Harvey Weinstein's assistant Zelda Perkins and allegations against Mohamed Al Fayed shed light on the misuse of NDAs to cover up criminal behavior.
