'We dug under our house and found a Nazi bunker'

A couple in Guernsey, Shaun and Carrie Tullier, unearthed a Nazi bunker beneath their home after being tipped off about its possible existence. The bunker, part of Germany's occupation of the Channel Islands during World War Two, features German writing on the walls and measures 17ft by 10ft and 17ft by 20ft. The Tulliers plan to convert the bunker into a games room and gym while preserving its historic elements, such as phrases like "achtung feind hort mit" ("beware, the enemy is listening"), found inside.
