Bondi hero Ahmed al Ahmed, who bravely intervened in a shooting incident, has received A$2.5m in community donations while being treated for his injuries in the hospital. Mr. Ahmed is hailed as a hero for his courageous actions during the attack at Bondi Beach, where he wrestled a gun from one of the attackers despite being shot multiple times. Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised Mr. Ahmed as "the best of our country" during a visit to the hospital.
