US brings man wrongly deported to El Salvador back to face charges
Kilmar Ábrego García, a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador, has been brought back to the US to face charges related to alien smuggling. The 29-year-old from El Salvador is accused of being involved in a trafficking conspiracy to transport undocumented migrants from Texas to other parts of the country. The indictment alleges that he played a significant role in smuggling illegal immigrants and members of the MS-13 gang into the US. Kilmar Ábrego García appeared in court in Nashville, Tennessee, and remains in federal custody until an arraignment hearing is held on June 13.
