UK to start processing Syrian asylum claims again

The UK has announced the resumption of processing Syrian asylum claims after over seven months' pause due to the fall of the Assad regime. Asylum minister Dame Angela Eagle stated that decisions could now be made with accurate information. The move aims to address the situation of more than 7,000 Syrians awaiting asylum decisions, with plans for possible returns to Syria before the end of the year.
