Typhoon Ragasa makes landfall in China after 17 killed in Taiwan
Typhoon Ragasa has made landfall in southern China after causing widespread destruction, with nearly two million people evacuated in preparation for its arrival. The typhoon, the world's strongest storm this year, left at least 17 people dead in Taiwan and continues to wreak havoc as it moves westwards over land. Ragasa prompted red alerts for landslides in Guangdong province, while Taiwan is still grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding caused by a lake burst.
