Two men framed by corrupt British Transport Police officer Derek Ridgewell in the 1970s have finally been cleared of their convictions for theft and conspiracy to steal, marking the end of a long battle for justice. The Court of Appeal overturned the convictions of Errol Campbell and Ronald De Souza, who were part of the Stockwell Six group, victims of Ridgewell's racist miscarriages of justice. The Criminal Cases Review Commission exposed Ridgewell's fabricated evidence that resulted in convictions, bringing to light a dark chapter of state crime and police corruption in the legal system.
