Tourists to face €2 fee to get near Rome's Trevi Fountain
Starting February 1, 2026, tourists visiting Rome's Trevi Fountain will face a €2 entry fee to get up close to the iconic landmark. Mayor Roberto Gualtieri stated that the fee will help manage visitor numbers and generate around €6.5 million annually for maintenance costs. Despite the fee, the tradition of tossing coins into the fountain, which are donated to charity, will continue.
