Thirteen children injured in amusement park ride accident

Thirteen children and one adult were injured in an amusement park ride accident at Coney Beach Pleasure Park in Porthcawl, Bridgend county. The incident occurred on the "small introductory roller coaster" Wacky Worm, where a cart left the track, causing minor injuries. The park, not responsible for the ride, was instructed by police to shut down as investigations continue, with seven individuals taken to the hospital for treatment. The 1918-established pleasure park is slated for closure in October for redevelopment purposes.
