The Repair Shop's Jay Blades in court accused of rape

TV presenter Jay Blades, known for hosting The Repair Shop, appeared in Telford Magistrates' Court charged with two counts of rape. The incidents reportedly occurred between November 2022 and April 2024. Blades, who also faces a separate charge of controlling or coercive behavior, was granted conditional bail and is set to appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court on 10 September. Blades, who stepped back from presenting The Repair Shop last year, denied the allegations.
