South Africa win WTC to land first major title

South Africa claimed their first major global title by defeating Australia by five wickets in the World Test Championship final at Lord's. Aiden Markram's superb 136 led South Africa to victory, with David Bedingham and Kyle Verreynne seeing them over the line for the historic win. This victory makes South Africa the third team to be crowned World Test champions, following New Zealand in 2021 and Australia in 2023.
