Snow and ice warnings issued by Met Office as sub-zero temperatures forecast

A yellow weather warning for snow has been issued for northern and eastern Scotland with up to 10cm of snow possible. Ice warnings have also been issued for various regions in Scotland and northern England. Frequent snow showers are expected to continue in northern Scotland until Thursday, with accumulations of up to 20cm above 300m. Gusty winds and lightning could pose additional hazards alongside the snow.
