Serving Met police officer arrested after BBC Panorama investigation
A Metropolitan Police officer from Charing Cross police station has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice following a BBC Panorama investigation. The sergeant has been bailed and suspended after an incident that occurred on Thursday. The arrest comes after the Panorama report exposed troubling behavior by officers at the station, including calling for immigrants to be shot and being dismissive of rape claims.
