A Glasgow to London train derailment due to a landslip is causing the second day of disruptions on the West Coast mainline in Cumbria. Network Rail has been working to clear the tracks, with operations director Sam MacDougall stating that the train hit the landslip at 80mph. Avanti West Coast and TransPennine Express services have been affected, with ticket and travel advice available on the Network Rail website. Liberal Democrat MP Tim Farron has raised concerns about the incident and called for better track maintenance in the region.
