Royal train to be cut in Palace cost-saving measure
Buckingham Palace has announced plans to decommission the historic royal train by 2027 as part of cost-saving measures. The decision comes alongside the release of royal finances, revealing that the train journey in February cost over £44,000. Despite the royal train being taken out of service, the Royal Family will continue using regular train services and helicopters for travel. The Sovereign Grant will be increased to fund renovations at Buckingham Palace.
