Rise in sexism & transphobia reports - Kick It Out

Kick It Out, an anti-discrimination charity, received a record number of discrimination reports in the 2024-25 English football season, including rises in sexism, transphobia, and faith-based abuse. Incidents of sexism and misogyny increased by 67%, faith-based abuse and transphobia doubled, and reports of racism decreased overall but increased in professional football. With a 5% rise in online abuse reports related to racism, Kick It Out calls for more action from football authorities, tech companies, and the government to combat discrimination.
