World War Two veteran Douglas Baldwin, who fought in Normandy and was later a prisoner of war, has passed away at 100. He served with the King's Own Scottish Borderers and was captured, spending time in various Stalag camps. Remembered for his courage and sacrifice, Baldwin received France's highest military honor, the Légion d'honneur, in 2021. The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, which helped him visit Normandy, expressed sadness at his death.
