Post Office Horizon IT contract extended for another year

The Post Office extends its Horizon IT contract for a year, planning to transition to a new system eventually. The Horizon system was at the core of a scandal where sub-postmasters were wrongly accused due to software faults. The Post Office will pay £41m to Fujitsu until March 2027 to continue using Horizon while seeking a new supplier.
