Officers who confronted Southport killer honoured
Merseyside Police officers honoured for bravery in confronting Southport killer from 2025 Police Federation awards. Sgt Gregory Gillespie, PC Luke Holden, and PCSO Timothy Parry recognized for their courage in facing Axel Rudakubana, who murdered three children at a dance studio. Officers approached Rudakubana holding a large knife, leading to his arrest and imprisonment for a minimum of 52 years.
