No further charges over Southport knife attacks

Merseyside Police have announced that no further charges will be brought in the investigation of the Southport knife attacks by Axel Rudakubana. Rudakubana, sentenced to a minimum of 52 years for the murders of three young girls and injuring others at a dance class, will not face additional charges of assistance or lack of prevention. A public inquiry into the attacks has commenced to assess policing and the criminal justice system's handling of the case.
