Night skies glitter with Perseids meteor shower

The Perseids meteor shower illuminated the UK and global skies recently, originating from dust particles of the Swift-Tuttle comet. Astro Dog, a Scarborough-based astronomy company, managed to capture the spectacle from North York Moors National Park using specialized equipment. With the peak occurring on 13 August, there's still an opportunity to witness or record the shooting stars as the Perseids will remain active until 24 August.
