More than 800 migrants cross Channel in December record

In December, a record-breaking 803 migrants crossed the English Channel in 13 boats, with a total of 41,455 migrants crossing in 2025 so far. The surge in crossings is attributed to recent bad weather driving a backlog of people wanting to reach Kent.
