Holidaymakers are increasingly using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for trip planning and booking, with a notable rise from 4% to 8% in AI usage among travelers, particularly younger demographics. ABTA reports a surge in overall holiday bookings nearing pre-pandemic levels, where AI is seen as both a challenge and an opportunity for the travel industry. Despite the growing popularity of AI, traditional methods like internet searches, seeking advice from friends, and consulting travel websites remain predominant. While some travelers are open to AI assistance, concerns about quality and reliability of information still exist, suggesting room for further development in AI travel planning capabilities.
