Meteorite that hit home is older than Earth, scientists say

A meteorite that hit a home in Georgia is older than Earth, according to scientists. The rock, which exploded over Georgia in June, was confirmed by NASA to be more than 4.56 billion years old. Researchers at the University of Georgia analyzed the meteorite fragments and determined it to be a chondrite, the most common type of stony meteorite.
