Men in court over alleged rape of 12-year-old girl

Two men have appeared in court for the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton. Ahmad Mulakhil faces rape charges, while Mohammad Kabir is accused of kidnap, strangulation, and aiding in the rape. Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch alleges the men are asylum seekers, prompting controversy over transparency in immigration status. Both men, aged 23, will appear before Warwick Crown Court on August 26. Witnesses from the Cheverel Street area of Nuneaton on July 22 are urged to come forward, according to Warwickshire Police.
