Mass arrests for sextortion and romance scams in sting operation across Africa

Interpol's mass arrests across Africa target sextortion and romance scams, with over 260 suspects nabbed in 14 countries. Victimized by social media scams, more than 1,400 people were identified across Ghana, Kenya, Angola, and beyond, losing nearly $2.8m. Interpol vows to dismantle cyber-crime groups exploiting vulnerable individuals online, seizing devices and money while disrupting over 80 criminal networks in the crackdown.
