A 92-year-old murderer, Ryland Headley, convicted of raping and murdering Louisa Dunne in 1967, will be investigated for potential involvement in other unsolved cold cases by Avon and Somerset Police. Headley, jailed for life, will undergo extensive inquiries into his activities since the 1970s when he moved to Ipswich. After forensic analysis linked his DNA to the decades-old crime, Headley will be considered in various unsolved cases, making his case the UK's longest-running cold case to be solved.
