Humphries survives scare to progress with Van Gerwen

Former champion Luke Humphries survived a scare in the PDC World Championship, advancing to the fourth round as four previous winners secured victories on Sunday. Three-time winner Michael van Gerwen also progressed with a 4-1 win, setting up a last-16 tie with Gary Anderson. Other winners included 2018 champion Rob Cross and rising star Gian van Veen. Ryan Searle reached the fourth round for the first time since 2021 with a commanding 4-0 win.
