Heathrow Airport shutdown caused by electrical substation issues, first detected 7 years ago. The National Energy System Operator (NESO) found that moisture entering components caused the fire at the North Hyde substation, leading to the closure of the UK's biggest airport. The power cut resulted in thousands of cancelled flights, affecting 270,000 journeys, including those of Heathrow's 66,919 domestic and commercial customers.
