Yellow heat health alerts, issued by the UK Health Security Agency, are in effect as temperatures are expected to reach 34C (93F) in parts of the UK this weekend. These alerts cover central, southern, and eastern England until July 15 and warn of potential impacts on vulnerable populations and health services. This prolonged period of hot weather may meet heatwave criteria across all four UK nations for up to five or six days.
