The UK government plans to bring more Gazan children to the UK for medical treatment amid the conflict in Gaza that has resulted in over 50,000 children being killed or injured. A scheme encompassing up to 300 children receiving free medical care is being developed. Previously, some children were privately brought to the UK for treatment, like Majd who required facial reconstructive surgery after sustaining injuries in the conflict. Aid efforts are crucial as medics warn of shortages in vital supplies in Gaza.
