French farm has €90,000 worth of snails stolen

Thieves in northern France steal €90,000 worth of snails from a farm supplying gourmet restaurants ahead of the holiday season. The farm, L'Escargot Des Grands Crus, near Reims, suffered a blow with its entire stock of fresh and frozen snails disappearing. Edible snails, a French delicacy, are in high demand around December for Christmas and New Year's, leading the farm to restock urgently to meet customer needs.
