Footballer Thomas Partey granted bail on rape charges

Former Arsenal player Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after facing rape and sexual assault charges. The 32-year-old Ghanaian footballer appeared in court facing five counts of rape against two women and one count of sexual assault against a third woman, allegedly occurring while he was playing for Arsenal. Partey was charged shortly after leaving Arsenal when his contract ended, and his next court appearance is set for September 2 at the Old Bailey.
