Five men, including three Moroccans, an Egyptian, and a Syrian, have been arrested in Germany for plotting a terrorist attack on a Christmas market in Bavaria. Authorities suspect an "Islamist motive" in the planned attack where a vehicle was to be driven into the crowd. The Egyptian suspect allegedly called for the attack with the intention of causing mass casualties. The arrests come amidst heightened security concerns following past attacks at Christmas markets in Germany.
