First malaria treatment suitable for babies and very young children approved for use, filling a gap in pediatric medicine. With almost all malaria-related deaths occurring in Africa in 2023, this new treatment is a crucial step in saving the lives of the smallest and most vulnerable babies at risk of the disease.
