Despair to delight: Lost Rodin 'copy' sells for $1m

Lost Rodin sculpture "Despair" thought to be a copy sold for almost $1m at a French auction after being confirmed as an authentic Auguste Rodin piece from 1892. The sculpture had vanished after a 1906 auction, but a recent six-week investigation by the Comite Rodin verified its authenticity. French auctioneer Aymeric Rouillac described it as an "extremely rare" find, leading to its sale for €860,000 (£725,000; $982,000).
