Coldstream Guards mark 375th anniversary
Published: 6/11/2025

Celebrating its 375th anniversary, the Coldstream Guards paraded in full ceremonial dress through Berwick-upon-Tweed, the town of its formation in 1650. The oldest continuously serving regiment in the British Army, the guardsmen traveled from London to Berwick by train, where they were welcomed by crowds lining the streets. Following the parade, they attended a Service of Thanksgiving and were inspected by the Colonel of the Regiment and the Mayor of Berwick. This historic event precedes the regiment's participation in Trooping the Colour on 14 June.
