Buttons bought in £40 job lot sell for £61,000

Rare buttons by sculptor Alberto Giacometti found in £40 job lot fetch £61,000 at auction. Gary Quittenton-Shaw from Derbyshire discovered the valuable buttons in a lot he purchased at auction. Made for fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1930s, the buttons were sold by Bonhams auctioneers in London, earning Quittenton-Shaw a significant profit.
