BrewDog ad banned for implying beer beats loneliness
Published: 8/6/2025

The Advertising Standards Watchdog (ASA) banned a BrewDog ad for Wingman beer, stating it implied alcohol could alleviate boredom, loneliness, and frustration. The ASA ruled the ad breached the code by suggesting beer could solve these issues. This is not the first time BrewDog has faced complaints about its advertising, with previous incidents like claiming their fruit-flavored beers counted as "one of your five-a-day" and a misleading gold can promotion.
