'Brave and beautiful people' remembered in Aids quilt display
The UK Aids Memorial Quilt, honoring nearly 400 individuals who lost their lives to HIV/AIDS, is set to be displayed at the Tate Modern in London. The quilt, created in the 1990s, includes touching stories like that of friends Frankie and Georgie, and librarians Cathy and Grace, paying tribute to loved ones lost to the epidemic. This exhibition aims to provide a platform for remembrance and healing, shedding light on the legacy of those affected by HIV/AIDS in the UK in the 1980s and 90s.
