Boy detained for kittens' torture and killing

A 17-year-old boy has been detained for torturing and killing two kittens in west London, near Ruislip Golf Course. The boy was given a 12-month detention and training order for the "awful offences" against animals, with a lifetime ban on owning animals. His accomplice, a 17-year-old girl, will be sentenced later. The pair had previously pleaded guilty to mutilating and killing the kittens, which were found with ropes attached, cut open, and hanging from a rope.
