Boxing Day shopping falls flat once again

Boxing Day sales saw a subdued start as shoppers favored online shopping over physical stores, with footfall at UK high streets and shopping centers down compared to last year. Barclays expects a decrease in shopper spending, attributing it to fewer people planning to hunt for bargains this year. Despite the decline in traditional Boxing Day shopping, some shoppers appreciate the quieter atmosphere while major retailers like Next, John Lewis, and Poundland opted to close their stores.
