Boeing agrees $1.1bn deal over fatal 737 Max crashes
Boeing reaches $1.1bn agreement with US Justice Department over 737 Max crashes that killed 346 people in 2018 and 2019. As part of the settlement, Boeing will pay $444.5m to families of crash victims and invest $455m into enhancing compliance, safety, and quality programs. The settlement also includes a $487.2m criminal penalty, half of which has already been paid in 2021.
