Bend It Like Beckham director has a sequel - and a spin on a Christmas classic

Director Gurinder Chadha, known for "Bend It Like Beckham," has created a new festive film called "Christmas Karma," which puts a Bollywood twist on Charles Dickens' classic tale "A Christmas Carol." The movie features a star-studded cast, including Kunal Nayyar, Hugh Bonneville, Pixie Lott, Boy George, Danny Dyer, Charithra Chandran, and Eva Longoria. "Christmas Karma" follows a contemporary Scrooge named Mr. Sood, played by Nayyar, on a journey of redemption with a diverse musical backdrop. It highlights themes of reconciliation and cultural identity, drawing on Chadha's personal experiences and political inspirations.
