Arrest after policeman injured by car in Manchester

A man has been arrested after a Greater Manchester police sergeant was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Rusholme. The officer's legs were crushed between two vehicles when a car reversed into him multiple times on Frodsham Street. The suspect fled the scene but has since been detained on suspicion of assault, dangerous driving, and failure to stop. The 41-year-old man is currently in custody.
